Special Character

Welcome to St Brendan’s School

At St Brendan’s, we are guided by our Vision Statement, ‘Inspiring Navigators’, which challenges our students to achieve academic success, spiritual awareness, and positive citizenship within a supportive Catholic environment. Our school embraces the whakataukī, ‘he waka eke noa’—we are all in this together. Pope Francis powerfully expressed this sentiment during his Urbi et Orbi blessing in March 2020, a message that remains relevant as we continue to navigate the challenges of our times. He reminded us that we are all on the same boat, each fragile yet vital, and called to row together. This message has become a cornerstone of our community, inspiring us to draw strength from our faith, hold onto hope, and stay connected.

Our school is enriched with a “Special Character” that sets us apart—our commitment to the faith of the Roman Catholic Church. At St Brendan’s, our mission is to nurture the intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth of the children entrusted to us through the love of Jesus Christ.

The St Brendan’s Board, staff, and community are deeply committed to the principles of our vision, values, and beliefs. We warmly invite all who share this commitment to join our community.

On behalf of our entire St Brendan’s team, I welcome you with open arms. We look forward to rowing together with you throughout your family’s journey.

Haere mai, here mai, nau mai haere mai! Tēnā koutou katoa!

God bless,
Veronica Sawers
